I have a 2008 RRS S/C. Bought new and very happy till now. Have recently had 2 occassions when vehicle has been flatbedded back from distant locations for the following fault: All warning lights come on; "F" appears where "D" normally does on the gear selection display; all sorts of faults list on display (no gears, no suspension etc).
U0101: Lost Communication With TCM. I bought a used Range Rover, and one of the issues it had was that the message "transmission fault, limited gears available" would appear when it tried to shift into 4th gear. I went to a mechanic to have the codes read, and it mentioned issues with the solenoids from 3 to 4 and 5 to 6.
so E illuminated on dash with following warning lights: - Transmission fault limited gears. available. - parking brake fault (also amber warning light) - HCC fault system unavailable. - Special functions OFF. , car takes over 5 seconds holding key in crank position to start, have to manually release out of park with release pull up, seams to be
Vehicle was 100% after that, for two days. I gave the Landy a proper polish, and wax, didn't wash engine bay and the next morning it gave me: - Transmission Fault, Limited gears available. - HDC Fault System not available. - Systems fault, Special programs not available. - Engine in limp mode, but runs smooth. - F instead of gear displayed.
Wheels change direction onscreen as I turn the steering wheel. Turn to Position II and immediately the temp sensor goes to 100% and goes red, Transmission Fault (limited gears), Amber and Red Parking Brake Lights, HDC Fault, Engine Fault, "E" on Gearshift Indicator. Turning to Start Position makes several relays click under the dash, the dome
A few days later (it's not our regular vehicle) I went to drive it and got the transmission fault, limited gears available. I searched the forums, gathered we needed to replace the terrain switch. Aside from terrain switch showing no lights and gears showing D not P all other options worked (park break, suspension). We put in a new terrain switch.
2vLW. I've experienced various problem with this gearbox. 1. Fault code and various problems when 5th used for a long time (e.g hill) (as 1st post) 2. Problem with it getting stuck in 6th. I now think the gearbox sometimes locks out 5th as it knows its faulty and therefore waits until the RPM is suitable to select 4th.
I have two 2005 LR3 (s) a 6 Cylinder and a V-8 and fight the Transmission Fault, HDC Inactive, Suspension Lowered messages, with the 3 lights on ABS, DSC, traction control, all the time. NONE of the messages on this threat have provided a resolution. On BOTH: Every time it rained the problem starts, it is intermittent.
77. Reaction score. 4. 2006 LR3, any of you had the Transmission Fault "Limited Gears Available" engine light on (F), stuck in park. The car makes a weird noise and then the Fault message (limited gears available) appears. When I get to an intersection, the drive is kind of like a heavily worn clutch in a manual car. You have to press the accelerator quite a bit to get the car moving (lots of tooting from impatient people behind), find a place to stop, turn the car off and
